1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

43 IT GmbH
Finkenstraße 37, 70199 Stuttgart, Germany
Managing Director: Dr Markus Heitz
Email: ai@43.gmbh · Tel. +49 (0)711 6333686

2. Visiting the website

This site is delivered without third-party fonts and without advertising or profiling services. The only third-party service it embeds is the visitor statistics described in section 3. When you visit it, the web server processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, date and time, the resource requested and browser type) in server log files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are used for that purpose only and are deleted after a short period.

3. Visitor statistics

To see which pages are read and how visitors find us, we use GoatCounter, an analytics service designed around data minimisation. It is operated by Martin Tournoij in Ireland, and the data is held on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Finland and Germany. No transfer to a third country takes place.

When you open a page, your browser loads the counting script from gc.zgo.at and sends to ai43gmbh.goatcounter.com the address and title of the page, the address of the page that linked to it (the referrer) and the width of your screen. From the request, GoatCounter additionally derives your browser, operating system, language and country. If JavaScript is disabled in your browser, a small image is loaded instead, which counts the visit without the referrer and without the screen width.

According to the provider, GoatCounter stores neither your IP address nor your full User-Agent nor any tracking identifier, sets no cookies and passes no data to third parties. To avoid counting the same visit more than once, it keeps a randomly generated identifier linked to your IP address and User-Agent in memory for up to eight hours. In our configuration, only aggregate figures that do not allow you to be identified are stored permanently.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a data-minimising analysis of how our offering is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The counting itself neither stores information on nor reads information from your device, so no consent under section 25(1) TDDDG is required. The counting script only checks whether you have switched counting off for this browser.

How to object: you can switch counting off at any time for the browser you are using. To do so, open https://ai.43.gmbh/en/#toggle-goatcounter; a short dialogue confirms the change. Your choice is recorded locally in your browser and applies until you reverse it the same way. Blocking gc.zgo.at and goatcounter.com in your browser or with a content blocker is equally effective.

4. Language selection

This website is offered in German and English. When you open the home page, the server reads the language preference sent by your browser (the Accept-Language HTTP header) once, in order to show you the appropriate language version. That information is not stored.

If you actively choose a language using the language switcher, we set a strictly necessary cookie (name lang, value de or en, lifetime one year). It serves only to keep your choice on subsequent visits, contains no identifier and does not allow you to be recognised as an individual. The legal basis is section 25(2)(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete the cookie in your browser at any time.

5. Contact form

If you use the contact form, we process the details you provide – name, organisation, email address, type of use case and your message – solely in order to deal with your enquiry and reply to you.

  • Purpose: handling and answering your workshop enquiry.
  • Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  • Processing: the details are not stored on the server but forwarded to us directly as an email. They are not passed to third parties and not transferred to third countries.
  • Retention: we keep your enquiry only as long as is necessary to deal with it and with any follow-up correspondence, and delete it thereafter unless statutory retention obligations apply.

The fields marked are required in order to process your enquiry. Alternatively you can reach us directly by email or telephone at any time.

6. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and a right to object (Article 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise your rights.
